The Mayor's Office of Homelessness Prevention is a crucial lifeline in Baton Rouge, addressing the complex issue of homelessness through a multifaceted approach. This office connects individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness with vital resources and support.
Early Literacy is important to us and to our community. We invite you and your child to explore early literacy skills through play and interaction at home.
This program provides a new booklet each month for 3 years packed full of family fun! The tips and activities in these booklets are designed for use with things already found around the house without the need to buy anything.
Each booklet includes Community Connections, an insert with a selected list of community events, and the EBRP Library Children's Storytime schedule for you to post on your refrigerator.
Completion of all 12 booklets each year earns your child a FREE book of their choice and an entry into our annual gift card drawing, courtesy of the Patrons of the Public Library.

You can also reserve blood pressure kits online for check out, and pick up at a convenient branch location. This is possible due to a partnership between EBRPL and the American Heart Association.
Learn MoreFinancialFit offers short, easy-to-understand personal finance lessons, videos and interactive tools that empower all members of your community — no matter their current financial situation — to make informed financial decisions and achieve their financial goals. It includes more than 160 easy-to-understand micro lessons that can be completed in under five minutes each, with more being added each quarter. Also interactive lessons, videos and worksheets. To access it you’ll just need an East Baton Rouge Parish Library card.
